Ponzol Metal Tenor Sax Mouthpiece M1 110 Gold Plated. Made in and marked USA. Here is a good condition Peter Ponzol gold plated tenor sax mouthpiece. The M1 model is the lower smaller baffle which is less edgy than the M2 higher baffle model. This was my go to mouthpiece for many years as I felt it was a better Berg Larsen.

It has a rich full sound, great for sub-toning but when pushed could really cut through the band! I own two of this exact mouthpiece so parting with one as Im newly retired and have to reduce my collection. Gold plating shows some normal wear for a mouthpiece of this age. Tip, rails and table are smooth to the touch. The table does have one tiny spot of discoloration on it but still feels smooth.

I installed a new clear tooth patch due to a very slight indentation on the toothplate which smoothed it out. Note the inner baffle which shows the hand crafted hatch marks. This is standard on all handcrafted Ponzol mouthpieces. Note the nice round chamber which gives a full lush sound.
